M S Dhoni's best friend, Santhosh Lal, along with whom the Indian Captain invented the famous "Helicopter Shot" is no more.
Lal was a former Ranji player, who had been suffering from Pancreatitis. Earlier, when Lal was airlifted to New Delhi, where he was treated, Dhoni had offered to assist his childhood friend in all ways possible. Dhoni had been in constant touch with the family and had promised them that he would take up the burden of his friend's treatment.
Considered one of the best Ranji players that the state of Ranchi has produced, Lal will bw flown back to Ranchi upon completion of his autopsy in Delhi.
