Veteran filmmaker Balu Mahendra passes away

Chennai, Feb 13: Veteran filmmaker Balu Mahendra died on Thursday morning, after being admitted to a private hospital in Chennai following a heart attack.

The 74-year-old filmmaker was admitted to a hospital after he complained of chest pain. His personal assistant confirmed the news over phone that Balu Mahendra had passed away just past 11 a.m.
