Bengaluru: The results of the SSLC Examination-1 have been announced, with regular fresh students creating a record by achieving a 94.1% pass percentage, a significant increase compared to last year’s 80.04%.
Releasing the results, School Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa credited this achievement to the collective efforts of parents, students, teachers, department officials, and legislators. He said that the state-level Parent Teacher Meeting played an important role in helping parents understand the importance of education, their responsibilities, and their involvement in their children’s studies.
“I would like to thank and congratulate all students, parents, teachers, legislators, and officials of the department at all levels who have contributed to this success. The state-level Parent Teacher Meeting helped parents understand the importance of learning and their responsibilities as parents and their role in studies,” he said.
This year, a total of 7,70,209 regular fresh students appeared for the examination, out of which 7,24,794 students successfully cleared it.
Seven students secured a perfect score of 625 out of 625, emerging as toppers. Notably, one of them is from a government school in Athani taluk of Chikkodi district.
Digital marks cards have been made available through DigiLocker, and authorities have also decided to issue physical copies this year.
Considering the high overall pass percentage, there will be no third examination. However, the second examination for students who wish to improve their results will be conducted from May 18 to May 25.
In district-wise performance, Dakshina Kannada (DK) secured the first position with an impressive pass percentage of 98.40%, followed closely by Udupi district with 98.18%. Kalaburagi district recorded the lowest performance, with a pass percentage of 85.06%.
