New Delhi: The Government of India has advised all Indian nationals currently in Iran to leave the country at the earliest using available transport options, including commercial flights, in view of escalating security concerns and the possibility of military developments in the coming days.
In its latest advisory, the Embassy of India in Tehran urged students, pilgrims, businesspersons and tourists to exit Iran as a precautionary measure. The embassy reiterated its earlier advisory issued on January 14, 2026, stressing the need for heightened vigilance among Indian citizens and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs).

The embassy has further requested all Indian nationals in Iran to stay in regular contact with officials and register their presence with the mission for timely assistance.
