The Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) has won the Airports Council International (ACI) World’s 2025 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award for Best Airport at Arrivals globally, marking its second consecutive win after receiving the same recognition in 2024.
The ASQ Awards are based on real-time passenger feedback collected through ACI’s independently administered survey programme and are considered a key global benchmark for airport customer satisfaction. The arrivals category evaluates the inbound passenger experience, including immigration, baggage delivery, terminal ambience, cleanliness, wayfinding, and overall comfort.
In 2025, MIA was among six airports worldwide selected in the “Best Airport at Arrivals – Globally” category. The airport credited the achievement to continuous process optimisation, digital initiatives, enhanced service training, and close coordination with government agencies and stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and passenger experience.
Airport authorities also acknowledged the contribution of frontline staff and partner agencies for consistently maintaining high service standards reflected in the ASQ passenger survey results.
The award will be presented at the ASQ Awards Ceremony in Istanbul, Türkiye, on September 2, during the Airports Council International World Airport Experience Summit scheduled from August 31 to September 4. ACI World said around 100 airports will be recognised across various categories this year, with a total of 195 awards to be presented.
