Voters in Karnataka can now check online whether their names have been flagged under the Absent, Shifted, Duplicate, Dead, and Others (ASDDO) category as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls. So far, over one crore of the State’s 5.54 crore registered voters have been marked under this category.

Chief Electoral Officer V. Anbukumar on Tuesday launched the online portal, enabling voters to verify their status. District-wise ASDDO lists are available on the CEO’s website.

However, the lists for districts including Belagavi, Raichur, Shivamogga, and Bengaluru Urban are not yet available.

Electors who find that their names have been incorrectly marked as shifted, absent, or under any other ASDDO category can approach their Booth Level Officer (BLO) and establish that they continue to reside at their registered address. They will then be provided with the enumeration form to rectify the record.

As of August 4, 1,11,07,461 voters had been classified under the ASDDO category.

According to a press release issued by the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, the ASDDO lists have been shared with political parties and are also available with BLOs for verification.

Although voters listed under the ASDDO category will be excluded from the draft electoral rolls scheduled for publication on August 17, political parties have urged the Election Commission to verify every case of an already enrolled voter and direct BLOs to compulsorily collect self-declaration forms to ensure that every eligible voter is accounted for.
