Some voters in Karnataka have found their names in the ASDDO (Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Others) list published by the Election Commission, even after submitting their signed Enumeration Forms to their Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Karnataka V. Anbukkumar has urged such voters to immediately check whether their names have been wrongly included in the ASDDO list.

“We have uploaded the Assembly constituency-wise and polling booth-wise ASDDO list on our website. I urge voters who have submitted the form online or offline and received an acknowledgement, but still find their name in the ASDDO (exclusion) list, to approach their BLO to roll back their form,” he said.

According to the CEO’s office, being included in the ASDDO list does not automatically mean your name has been deleted from the electoral roll. It only means your record has been flagged for verification.

What should you do if your name is in the ASDDO list?

• Check whether your name appears in the ASDDO list on the CEO Karnataka website (ceokarnataka.kar.nic.in) or contact your Booth Level Officer (BLO).

• Ask your BLO or Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) why your record has been flagged. The reason could be Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate or Others.

• Submit or re-submit your Enumeration Form, along with any supporting documents required.

• Keep following up with your BLO or ERO until the verification is completed and your record is updated.

• If you have permanently shifted to another constituency, apply for enrolment at your new address using Form 6 (or follow the applicable process under SIR).

The CEO also explained that if a BLO collected a voter’s Enumeration Form but failed to digitise (upload) it, or if the voter was mistakenly placed in the ASDDO list, the BLO can use the rollback option in the BLO app.

“The BLO can roll back your form from the ASDDO list to the digitised list till August 8. You should confirm that your form has been uploaded and is now under the digitised forms category on the BLO app, as this process does not generate an acknowledgement,” the CEO said.

He further clarified: “Only if you have an acknowledgement copy and your name is not in the ASDDO list, your SIR enumeration is successful.”
