DOHA: The Qatar-based Indian community is mourning the loss of Fayaz Ahmed (57), an NRI hailing from Karkala in Udupi district, who passed away in Doha on Sunday, August 30. His death has left a void among the many people who knew and admired him for his humility, kindness and years of dedicated service to the community.
Fayaz Ahmed had served as the finance manager of Bin Omran Company for the past 30 years. Over three decades, he earned the trust and respect of his colleagues and associates through his dedication, sincerity and professionalism.
Beyond his professional life, Fayaz Ahmed was deeply connected with the Indian community in Qatar. Known for his soft-spoken nature, humility and warm-hearted personality, he actively participated in several community organisations and forums, dedicating his time and efforts to causes close to his heart.
He served as the president of KMCA Qatar and Hidaya Foundation Qatar, besides holding leadership positions in several other Indian community organisations.
Those who knew him remember Fayaz Ahmed as a gentle and approachable person who treated people with respect and kindness. His quiet contributions, leadership and willingness to serve others earned him a special place among the community.
His passing has been deeply mourned by his family, friends, colleagues and a large circle of well-wishers in Qatar and back home in coastal Karnataka.
Fayaz Ahmed is survived by his wife and son. He leaves behind not only his grieving family but also many friends and community members whose lives he touched through his years of service and friendship.
