Ayodhya: A major controversy has erupted after Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya, head of Tapasvi Chhawani in Ayodhya, publicly announced a reward of Rs 5 crore for anyone who kills Bollywood actor Aamir Khan.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Paramhans Acharya claimed he would not only pay the reward but also bear all legal expenses incurred by the person responsible. The statement has triggered widespread outrage and renewed calls for police action.

The remarks come amid reports of Aamir Khan’s marriage to Gauri Spratt. The actor has recently faced criticism from several right-wing groups and political leaders over the marriage, with Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane describing him as the “brand ambassador of love jihad.”

Echoing similar allegations, Paramhans Acharya accused the actor of deliberately targeting Hindu women, even though Gauri Spratt is a Christian and not Hindu.

“Aamir Khan has married three times, and all three of his marriages have been to Hindu women. At this stage in his life, he is doing nothing but promoting ‘love jihad’. He is trapping our Hindu sisters and daughters,” he said in an interview.

He then went on to announce the bounty.

“I openly declare that I will give Rs 5 crore to anyone who kills Aamir Khan. The money will reach their family, and I will personally bear the entire cost of their legal battle,” he said.

The video has drawn strong criticism on social media, with many users condemning the statement as an open call to violence. Legal experts have also argued that such remarks could amount to criminal incitement and warrant immediate action by law enforcement agencies.

Several people have urged the Uttar Pradesh Police to register a case against Paramhans Acharya and investigate the matter. Others have called for enhanced security for Aamir Khan in light of the public threat.

Neither Aamir Khan nor his representatives have issued an official response to the controversy at the time of publication.
